Denver Zoo | Enchanted Hollows Owl
Following the success of the giant Conservation puppets, Denver Zoo asked us to create an interactive art piece as part of the Enchanted Hollows exhibit for Halloween.
Ruru the Owl is a Great Horned Owl that guests are encouraged to interact with–they can make his head turn, his wings flap and his glowing eyes blink!
Ruru is made from repurposed thatching, recycled water tanks and recycled “drop” wood from a local wood mill.
